It always seems to rain right as I leave for work.  Then, or right as I leave to go home.

I only live about 7 minutes away (by car), but on rainy days...it can be double, triple or even quadruple that.

That got me thinking...I wonder how all of this rain is affecting people who live further away from work?  And what about the folks that live near low water crossings?  How long are your commutes?  And what do you have to go through to get to work on rainy days?

I'm hearing that there's a lot of traffic in some areas near the new toll road. Is it getting worse now that the toll isn't free? What areas seem to be the trouble spots?

What about traffic on the toll road? TxDOT seemed to think it would get lighter once it stopped being free. How long does your morning/evening commute take? Is the toll road quicker than your old route?

I don't live near the toll road, but I am interested in hearing what you think of it. Have any of you tried the toll road yet?

I'm wondering once people catch on if it will start getting congested. Is the road saving you time?

How much will your commute cost?

Please post your comments. I would love to hear what you think.

NewsProducer

My name is Julie and I'm a producer here at FOX 7. I have wanted to be a news producer ever since the 5th grade. That year I bet my folks $100 I could go a whole year without watching TV as long as I was still allowed to see the news. (In case you're wondering...I won.)
