I don't live near the toll road, but I am interested in hearing what you think of it. Have any of you tried the toll road yet?

I'm wondering once people catch on if it will start getting congested. Is the road saving you time?

How much will your commute cost?

Please post your comments. I would love to hear what you think.

I live in the area between 183 and 290. And it is totally CRAZY in the mornings and the evenings. 183S is backed up before you get to the Manor Rd. exit, and 290, forget it. It is a hot mess out there during rush hour.

Julie: I don't live near the toll road either, nor do I even live near Austin. But the traffic problems permeate well beyond the Austin City Limits. Traffic is terrible every where. It is mostly a result of poor driving habits (older folks) and defiance of authority (younger folks). But some of it is due to poor engineering. Select the lowest bidder if you must, but standards should be enforced no matter what. Thoughts?

Waste of money in the north. They go nowhere and just bring the morning traffic jam closer to downtown. What is wrong with the planners of these roads? Did they not think that the traffic jams would just move closer to downtown? Anyone else feel the same way as me coming down 183 south from cedar park area?

My name is Julie and I'm a producer here at FOX 7. I have wanted to be a news producer ever since the 5th grade. That year I bet my folks $100 I could go a whole year without watching TV as long as I was still allowed to see the news. (In case you're wondering...I won.)
