New Texas Law Requires Fire-Safe Smokes Cigarette Likely Started Fatal Fire in Fort Worth After reading  these 2 articles it  strikes me that smoking is being blamed to  justify a law , when it's quite possible the cause was something else like maybe substandard wiring , which  the state   would likely want to  cover up , becuz of liability to them , I know from what i've seen in My own brand new home, wiring in Texas is substandard , with only using  wiring approved  for lights only on outlets , only putting lighter circuit breakers on them , and from  the amount of homes, and some of them new homes, and big new  homes burning,  I can see why and all to save builders money , I've seen  a number of reports of house fires , that  seemed suspicious , and  no cause stated, but if they  find a cigarette butt , it's automatically  blamed on the cigarette , and no further  determination , gotta protect the state, and the builders , and with all the hate for smoking   it is blamed for almost any  kind of health hazard , and saves a lot of investigation  , after smoking  for 48  years, and as much stuff as I'ved burned holes in (falling asleep with  cigarettes, etc. ) and never having a fire, it has  to make me wonder about fire officials and what and who they are  protecting could it be the builders, the state ,for failure to protect the  people  from substandard  wiring, I have  to wonder , it seems ok, to inconvenience Me,  hell, i'm  just a stupid smoker , but some  things have to have some logic behind  it , it couldn't  the fault of bought and paid  for just dumb  politicians, that any one with a degree of some kind could convince them  the sky was falling , could  it ?

First, in our quest to be "politically correct," we changed our rhetoric. Our government declared terrorists should no longer be called "jihadists" because it might be offensive to some non-radical Muslims.
Then we started changing our schools and businesses. Schools started including Islamic holidays in their calendars to be "inclusive" and "multicultural." Businesses like Target said their Muslim workers did not have to touch or ring up meat since pork is unclean under Islamic law.
Soon, these small multicultural concessions became normal and paved the way for larger "accommodations."

Islam In School, At Work, and In Our Government

Now, not only are some schools changing their school calendars, but they are banning pork from cafeterias, segregating classes by sex, and white-washing Islam in textbooks.
Some businesses are structuring prayer breaks into the work day for Muslim employees, and thereby forcing non-Muslim workers to pick up the slack. And in Florida, an employee was fired for eating a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich on the job because she violated a company rule against eating pork products on company premises.

• The Muslim Students Association (MAS)—a campus Muslim group with hundreds of chapters across the nation, and a group named as part of the stealth jihad by the Muslim Brotherhood in an internal memorandum. A speaker at a MSA chapter said, "The only relationship you should have with America is to topple it....Eventually there will be a Muslim in the White House dictating the laws of sharia."

  Tough Love vs. Spanking - Good Argument

Most of the American population thinks it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of 'those moments.'

One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk.

Some say it's the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, IPod, etc.

Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Ey e to eye contact helps a lot too.

Can you believe John McCain cannot use a computer?

 

After all, computers today in government and the business world are primarily used for email, Word, Excel and other very simple, simple programs.  They have been dummy proofed so that anyone can use them and it requires little to no complex thought and a few minutes to hours to learn.  Hmm… you would assume that the Obama team wants to imply that John McCain is simple minded and unable to process complex thoughts.  

 

On the flip side, the cockpit of a fighter jet seems to be many complex computers working in unison. 

 

To fly a fighter jet lends itself to years of education, training and experience in:

 

·         Aerodynamics

·         Aviation policy

·         International law

·         Top level understanding of Government processes

·         Survival techniques

·         Physical agility and Confidence

·         Extreme Hand-eye coordination

·         IQ and Quick Decision response

·         Highest levels of internal discipline

·         Unprecedented Communications Skills

·         Math & Sciences education

·         The highest levels of compassion and morals

·         Respect for the rule of law

·         Leadership

·         Strategy and Tactics capabilities

·         Rational and Complex thought capabilities

·         Etc, etc, etc..

 

Ok, this description of a typical fighter pilot sounds like someone that we would want to lead our country.  You add a strong family background and a lifetime commitment to public service, leadership and protecting our country.  Include a toughness that is unprecedented with years as a POW, leader and fighter for what is right in our country.   Someone who is a patriot, believes in constitution of the United States and so much more that it’s hard to do a comparison.  So now that we know who John McCain is and what he is made of, it’s hard to even consider a comparison to Barack Obama.  Yes, he can use a computer and he is one of the best orators of our time, but I would challenge you to put his name next to many of the qualities of John McCain above and walk away with any other conclusion. 

 

It’s either John McCain, the heart and soul of this country with leadership, pride and patriotism unprecedented in our history or Barack Obama, a lawyer with a shady Chicago neighborhood political history that has been elevated by a group of thugs in Congress, New York, and Chicago to include some in the Press and Academia and bought by International supporters who would like to see America’s economic system fail but can apparently “Use a Computer”. 

 

So do you want a computer user for a president or a fighter pilot?  

Barack Obama has put out an ad that simply reminded us John McCain cannot use a computer. Well guess what ... Barack cannot land a jet plane on an aircraft carrier at night.

Obama's Plan:
Mohamed Atta Gets His Driver's License

is this what we really want , to have illegals get drivers licences? Obama does?

Did you know that Mohamed Atta, the 9/11 ring leader, had a valid Florida driver's license?

Did you know 13 of the 19 hijackers had obtained valid driver's licenses? Armed with these licenses, eight of the hijackers even registered to vote!

Here is the shocking fact: Obama strongly supports giving illegal aliens in America driver's licenses.

He said as much during two Democratic debates earlier this year.

The head of Homeland Security said such thinking was dangerous for national security.

Even Hillary Clinton backed away from Obama's radical driver's license plan.

Obama's position is not a new one: We discovered that Obama has been a major proponent of driver's licenses for illegals since his days as an Illinois state senator.

We have no doubt that, as president, Obama will also champion this radical plan.

With Osama bin Laden still at large, with al-Qaida promising "spectacular" attacks on the U.S homeland, with the threat of them using weapons of mass destruction against our cities - biological, chemical, and nuclear - can we risk putting such a man in the Oval Office?

Doesn't he remember what happened on 9/11? More than 3,000 Americans were murdered.

Doesn't he want to prevent that from ever happening again?

If he supports driver's licenses for illegals, the answer is clear.

What will this country do when foreign countries begin drilling off  our shores , they will have absolutely  no control over them, or the oils spills ,  as far as I know there is nothing to stop them from drilling with  in 3 miles of our shores , as demand grows, that will probably the next place to  look for a bigger supply of oil ,  I think we WILL see offshore drilling,  just not by our own companies, they know there is a market for it right here , and nothing to keep them from it , does anyone have any thoughts on this ?

If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!!!!! A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments.  He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan   One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in.  He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform.  I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent.  You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God.  I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.  The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What the heck is the matter with you?  Why did you do that?" The Marine calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me."

HOW THE SARAH PALIN PICK TRUMPS OBAMA-BIDEN

On August 29, 2008, Republican Presidential nominee, John McCain, announced Sarah Palin, Governor of Alaska as his VP running mate. That selection has trumped and checkmated the Obama-Biden ticket.

Coming the day after Obama's historic acceptance speech at the Democratic convention, which speech and Obama's earlier pick of Joe Biden as his own VP running mate, were expected to be the top news item leading into the Republican convention the following week, McCain's pick of Sarah Palin however completely eclipsed those events.

In less than 24 hours, Obama's day in the sun had been come under a cloud of shadow and was relegated to history being completely upstaged by the Palin choice. The news cycles have talked about nothing else since in terms of the presidential politics.

The choice by McCain has stunningly energized the conservative base of the Republican party, an important segment McCain had his own problems with. But by choosing Palin, a staunch conservative, he has revitalized his commitment and perception in that area. Many conservatives who had relegated themselves to simply voting against Obama, are now more than willing to for "for" Palin.

The choice also reached out directly to independents and disaffected Democratic voters, particularly women, who were so sorely disappointed by Hillary Clinton's narrow loss and the way they had been treated since Obama sealed the nomination. Particularly in overlooking Hillary Clinton, who won 18 million votes in the primaries, and actually had more votes than Obama, those disaffected women are also excited about Palin, and indicating by the tens of thousands on blogs and disaffected Hillary voter sites on the web that they intend to cross over and vote for her and McCain.

The Obama campaign and DNC, curiously, have already launched all out attacks against the choice and Palin herself, indicating that she does not have enough executive or national experience.

Excuse me? She does not have enough executive experience?

A simple analysis of the relative experience levels of Sarah Palin compared to either Democratic candidate puts this to rest. For over the past decade, Sarah Palin has been involved in executive decision making at increasing levels of elected positions of public trust. Obama has no executive experience, Biden has no executive experience. During that time, Palin left off running an actual private business in Alaska, a commercial fishing business and was elected to her city council and then, in quick order to be Mayor of her home town. She did so well there that she was ultimately elected to be Governor of the State of Alaska, managing 17,000 personnel and a 9 billion dollar budget. Obama and Biden have absolutely no comparable experience at all, neither of them.

In Alaska, as Governor, Sarah is also the Commander in Chief (CINC) for the Alaskan National Guard. This is a critical national assignment as Alaska sits on the border with Russia where Air National Guard aircraft intercept Russian Bear aircraft. Sarah Palin has taken her role as the Commander seriously, regularly visiting the units and coming to understand their duties and capabilities.

As Governor, Sarah has helped devise and push through a project for the largest natural gas line in the history of the US...taking on entrenched politicians (on both sides of the aisle), lobby groups, and large corporations in the process. Her involvement with, and her understanding of, the Energy issue is unmatched by either Democratic candidate.

Outside of her direct role as Governor and speaking more to her personal values and commitment to them, Sarah walks the walk on the pro-life issue. Having found out well in advance of delivery that her youngest child would have downs syndrome, she and her husband thanked God for the blessing and brought the baby into a loving home. (By contrast, Obama has stated publically that he doesn't want his children "punished" with a baby).

As Governor, Palin actually visited the wounded soldiers in Germany, while Obama, when given the same opportunity in Europe, refused to comply with Defense Department guidelines regarding his entourage, and skipped that part of his schedule.

Beyond all of this, there is also a part of Sarah Palin that most hard working, patriotic, and committed Americans are coming to adore about her. She is real. She is authentic. Not only has she stood up to corrupt politics and the old networks that have produced so much waste, fraud, and "bridges to nowhere", she is also a regular person, and authentic all-American girl, wife, mother, and citizen.

She has actually walked the walk of reform and change instead of just talking about it.

She does not come from privilege, did not aspire to it, or become placed in it. She did not attend the Ivy League or prestigious schools. She has gotten to where she is by pure honesty, integrity, and strength of charachter and has been raising five kids and enjoying life while doing so.

All of this drives the leftist and anti-American crowd mad. Sarah Palin is the real deal. Young, refreshing, committed wife, mother, American citizen. She is the real deal when it comes to the change that is so much needed in American politics, particularly in Washington. John McCain must be congratulated for vetting her, seeing this, and putting her on the national stage.

She represents in fact, and in her own actions, what so many others (including Obama and the entrenched Biden) only talk about, and then go on with business as usual.

Obama, in his own actions and positions as a State Senator (voted merely present so many time in the State Senate, but voted no defending the Born Alive Abortion Protection Act there), in his own actions and positions as a US Senator (spent only 144 days on the job before beginning his campaign for the President, but in those short days was recognized as the Senator with the furthest left record), and particularly in his own willful associations of long standing with hateful, racists individuals like Jeremiah Wright (who preached "Not God bless American, No, No, No, God Damn America!) to Obama and his children, and with the likes of Bill Ayers, the unrepentant, arrogant, and militantly anti-American political connection where Obama kicked off his own political career, who bomber the US Pentagon, the US Capitol, and NY City Polic Headquarters and then claimed in an interview published on 911 that his only regreet was that he had not done enough...no with such actions and such associations (npot to mention TOni Rezco, Pleger, and others), Obama has proven that his change is precisely the type we do not want or need in Washington.

I HAVE DECIDED TO BECOME A WRITE-IN CANDIDATE.

HERE IS MY PLATFORM:
 
(1) 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned. English is the official language; speak it or wait at the border until you can.
 
(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist posture to  straighten out the country's attitude. NO imports, no exports. 
We will use the 'Wal-Mart's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.'
 
(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on it.
 
(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of our many observation towers on the southern border. (six month tour) They will be under strict orders not to fire on SOUTHBOUND aliens.
 
(5) Social security will immediately return to its original state.  If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't gettin nuttin out. The president nor any other politician will not be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare - Checks will be handed out on Fridays at the end of the 40 hour school week and the successful completion of urinalysis and a passing grade.
 
(7) Professional Athletes --Steroids - The FIRST time you check positive you're banned for life.
 
(8) Crime - We will adopt the Turkish method, the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more life sentences.  If convicted, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for your victim; gun, knife, strangulation, etc.
 
(9) One export will be allowed; Wheat, The world needs to eat. A bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.
 
(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money will immediately cease, and the saved money will pay off the national debt and ultimately lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision whether it's a worthy cause.
 
(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.
 
(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.
